Before you mint
USDG and gas
A paid mint costs 0.39093 USDG per card. Every transaction also needs a little ETH for gas.
What USDG is
USDG, the Global Dollar, is a US dollar stablecoin issued by Paxos. On Robinhood Chain it is an ordinary token held in your wallet, and 39093 uses it for the mint price.
The USDG contract address on Robinhood Chain is listed here when the mint opens. Check it before you buy or receive any token called USDG.
What you need
- USDG on Robinhood Chain: 0.39093 USDG for each card you mint. The mint panel shows the exact total for your order.
- A little ETH on Robinhood Chain to pay gas. ETH is the chain's fee token. A free claim needs only gas.
- A wallet that can connect to Robinhood Chain. The mint page asks your wallet to add and switch to the network.
How to get them
- Bridge or withdraw to Robinhood Chain from a supported exchange or bridge. Choose Robinhood Chain as the network and send to the same wallet you will mint with; a transfer sent on the wrong network may not arrive.
- Swap on chain. If you already have one of the two on Robinhood Chain, a swap there can get you the other.
Exchanges and bridges charge their own fees and can take a few minutes. Try a small amount first.
Approval
To pay, the mint contract needs permission to take exactly the USDG for your order. Where your wallet supports it, this is a single signature bundled into the mint transaction. Otherwise your wallet asks for a separate approval first, then the mint.
